Learn More About the International Congress Commemorating Allamah Mir Hamid Husayn Lakhnawi (may Allah have mercy on him)...

In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
Identifying and introducing distinguished scholars and devoted figures who have striven to revive the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) is one of the important means of promoting the Imamate of the Imams (peace be upon them). In addition to disseminating these teachings, this endeavor also helps introduce worthy role models for seekers of knowledge and virtue.
One of the devoted and influential scholars in the contemporary history of Shi‘ism is Allamah Mir Hamid Husayn Lakhnawi (may Allah have mercy on him). Although he left behind valuable works, particularly in the field of Imamate, his personality and scholarly legacy have not been introduced to the wider community in a manner befitting his stature.
Accordingly, in 1392 SH, a group of professors and researchers in the field of Imamate came together to establish an international congress aimed at reviving his works, while also conducting research and producing articles and books devoted to introducing this distinguished scholar.

Although the initial plan was to hold the congress within a relatively short period, its convening was postponed for several reasons, including the difficulty of locating or accessing copies of the late Allamah’s works, the limited number of qualified researchers in this field, the need to train specialized researchers, and the scarcity of adequate research resources. Over time, through the efforts of the Congress Secretariat, multiple visits were made to India, including Lucknow and Hyderabad, where consultations were held with specialists, professors, and those involved in the field. Relevant workshops and academic sessions were also organized. These efforts gradually removed the existing obstacles and paved the way for the congress to be held in the near future.
With the passage of time and the withdrawal of some partner organizations from the project, the Secretariat of the International Congress Commemorating Allamah Mir Hamid Husayn Lakhnawi (may Allah have mercy on him) is now based at the International Foundation for Imamate, under the chairmanship of Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimin Dr. Mohammad Taqi Sobhani, and continues its activities.
