Closing Ceremony of the Specialized Course “Understanding Imamate” Held with Emphasis on the Legacy of the Lucknow Scholarly School
The closing ceremony of the educational course “Understanding Imamate with a focus on the Imamate legacy of the Lucknow Scholarly School” was held with a speech by Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimin Mokhtari, head of the Shi’a Bibliography Institute. This specialized course was carried out by the efforts of the International Imamate Foundation and the Imamate Scientific Association, and with the cooperation of the Office of the Supreme Leader, in the form of 10 sessions and for 30 training hours.
In this ceremony, which was accompanied by the حضور of professors, researchers, and course participants, Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimin Mokhtari referred to the richness of the scientific and hadith legacy of the Lucknow school, and emphasized the necessity of preserving and promoting these intellectual reserves in the contemporary world. He also considered the role of scientific and research centers to be key in explaining and deepening the pure concepts of Imamate.
The course “Understanding Imamate” was designed and implemented using experienced professors familiar with the hadith and theological legacy of Lucknow, and its goal was to raise the level of knowledge and insight regarding the position of Imamate in Shi’a thought. At the end of the ceremony, a valid certificate of participation in the course was awarded to all participants.
This educational program is evaluated as a step in the direction of realizing the views of the Supreme Leader regarding the explanation and deepening of Islamic teachings and strengthening the discourse of Imamate at the level of the country’s scientific community and beyond that, in the Islamic world.
A session was held to review the draft of a long novel about Allamah Mir Hamid Husayn Lakhnavi.
